Asian Games: IOC chief Coventry gives thumbs-up to Asiad accommodation despite criticism

IOC President Kirsty Coventry backed the Asian Games organisers after inspecting athletes’ accommodation in Nagoya, despite complaints over cramped rooms and small beds. Coventry said the cabins were quiet, cool and well-equipped, and compared them favourably with some Olympic villages she had experienced. She said minimum standards remained important.
