NLC India targets large-scale pumped storage projects in Tamil Nadu, Odisha

The company is developing clean energy through its dedicated green arm, NLCIL Renewables Ltd (NIRL). The PSU is targeting to increase its operational renewable energy portfolio from 1.8 GW to over 10 GW by 2030, with a long-term target of 32.7 GW by 2047, as part of its strategy to achieve a 50 per cent clean energy mix in its generation portfolio ahead of schedule, the Coal Ministry said in the statement.
