ASI shot dead at Amritsar grain market; man gunned down in Islamabad

Two unidentified men fatally shot an assistant sub-inspector of Punjab Police in Amritsar. ASI Harjit Singh was shot near the neck by a single bullet fired from a pistol. This incident occurred around 12:30 am on Friday while the ASI was on duty. Hours earlier, another man was gunned down outside his house in the Islamabad area.
