Nearly 250 districts have over 25% youth out of work, education

Over a quarter of young Indians aged fifteen to twenty-nine are NEET. This issue is most pronounced across northern Indian districts and some eastern states. Nearly three-fourths of districts show high NEET rates among young women. Unpaid domestic work and societal expectations contribute to this gender gap. The survey covered around six hundred districts across major Indian states.
