Pilot’s sudden death during overnight layover puts spotlight on fatigue concerns
An Air India captain was found unresponsive in his hotel room during an overnight flight layover in New Delhi, and was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
The captain has been identified as Sunny Sharad Asaldekar, 46, The New Indian Express reported. He had checked into the hotel on Thursday, and his brother contacted the hotel manager the following evening after Asaldekar stopped answering calls.
