Suburbs, housing and immigration drive Colorado’s key House race

Colorado’s 8th District is a suburban and exurban battleground north of Denver. Republican Rep. Gabe Evans is defending the seat against Democrat Manny Rutinel after Evans narrowly defeated Democrat Yadira Caraveo in 2024. The district brings together fast-growing communities, Latino voters, suburban professionals and more conservative voters outside the Denver metropolitan area.
