Josh Hawley shoots down prospect of 2028 White House bid, says he has 'no intention' of running: report
Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has indicated that he does not plan to run for president during the 2028 election cycle.
"No, I have no intention of doing so, period," the senator told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday.
Republicans are currently aiming to retain their majorities in the House and Senate during the November 3 midterm elections — but next year, the center of political gravity will likely shift toward the 2028 election cycle, which will include a White House contest with no incumbent.
