Solar Industries to acquire South Africa’s Omnia for Rs 12,951 crore in biggest global expansion push

Solar Industries India will acquire 100% of South African chemicals company Omnia Holdings for $1.355 billion in cash, marking a major international expansion for the explosives maker. The deal will strengthen its commercial explosives and blasting solutions platform, expand its geographical footprint and enhance technological capabilities, subject to regulatory approvals.
