From resistance heroes to political casualties: What happened to the 2018 Democrats

Many Democrats elected in 2018 have since lost their House seats. These lawmakers faced challenges as political priorities shifted significantly. Some were defeated by Republicans reclaiming seats in changing districts. A few have advanced to higher offices or Senate positions. Only fourteen of the original forty-two remain in the House.
