ICE arrests Peruvian national accused of illegally voting in 2024 election as DHS cites similar cases
A Peruvian national was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after authorities say she falsely claimed to be a U.S. citizen and illegally voted in the 2024 general election in Kansas, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Thursday.
Mariana Alexandra Dewey, a lawful permanent resident and citizen of Peru, was arrested by Homeland Security Investigations special agents after authorities determined she unlawfully voted in the Nov. 5, 2024, election in Sedgwick County, according to DHS.
