In 2008, 50 Cent helped revive 1 neglected Queens garden with rainwater harvesting. 18 years later, it remains the Curtis Jackson Community Garden and public green space

The Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson Community Garden in Queens underwent a major transformation beginning in 2007, when the former Baisley Park Community Garden received support from rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and NYRP Founder and performer Bette Midler. Generously underwritten by 50 Cent’s G-Unity Foundation, the garden reopened in November 2008 with a creative design by acclaimed landscape architect and designer Walter Hood. Its features include 10-foot-tall rainwater harvesting funnels that provide irrigation while offering shade.
