In 2013, Queen guitarist Brian May began turning 157 acres of Dorset farmland into woodland; 9 years later, its trees and wildflower meadows were attracting more birds and small mammals

Brian May initiated a woodland and wildlife reserve project in Dorset. He planted the first tree in September 2013, aiming for 100,000 trees. This initiative transformed former agricultural land into a significant ecological habitat. Local residents actively participated in planting efforts and named the wood.
