Siemens Energy India advances cleaner high-voltage grid infrastructure with its Blue portfolio

Siemens Energy India has commissioned its first 145 kV sulfur hexafluoride-free circuit breaker in Goa, introducing its Blue high-voltage technology to India. The equipment uses clean air insulation and vacuum switching, eliminating SF₆ and other fluorinated greenhouse gases while supporting reliable transmission infrastructure and the power sector’s decarbonisation efforts.
