Hindutva influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj was sent to judicial custody for fourteen days. This action follows his alleged assault on a student activist's father during a protest. Bhardwaj had claimed he cracked the victim's skull, necessitating many stitches. A fresh FIR was also registered against him under the POCSO Act. The court extended his custody until September twenty-first.
