Nepali woman found alive days after family began mourning rites
Rescuers found Chandika Kumari Shrestha alive after ten days in Nepal's devastating floods. She survived in a narrow pocket of air inside her collapsed four-storey home. Hundreds remain missing and unaccounted for following the catastrophic glacial collapse. Rescue efforts continue to find survivors trapped under debris and in tunnels. Many bodies have been recovered and mass burials are taking place.
