Paradip Port achieves major milestone, berths first capesize vessel with 16.5-Meter Draft

Paradip Port Authority has berthed MV Mineral Kwangyang, its first Capesize vessel with a 16.5-metre draft, carrying 152,702 MT of coking coal from Australia. The milestone highlights the port’s deep-draft handling capabilities as Paradip expands infrastructure and mechanisation, with Rs 1,580.36 crore worth of projects aimed at boosting capacity and efficiency.
