Manoj Jarange Patil stops water and saline on eighth day of fast over Maratha quota demands

Manoj Jarange Patil has stopped consuming water and saline on his eighth day of fasting. He is protesting the Maharashtra government's delay in issuing Kunbi caste certificates. Patil is demanding these certificates for Maratha community members to secure OBC reservations. He previously agreed to take sustenance after government assurances of swift implementation. Thousands of Maratha protesters are expected to march on Mumbai after September 12.
