Keralam to seek exclusion of inhabited areas, farms, plantations from ESA: Minister

Kerala will demand excluding inhabited areas and farmlands from the proposed Ecologically Sensitive Area. The state is finalizing its response to the Union Environment Ministry's draft notification. Discussions were held with a high-level team of scientists appointed by the Union Ministry. Kerala's case is based on its high population density and limited geographical area.
