Republicans turn on House GOP lawmaker accused of late-night texts, lavish gifts to female staffers

Nearly every House Republican joined all Democrats to admonish one of their own after a bombshell investigation found that the lawmaker had engaged in "unprofessional and inappropriate conduct" with his staff.

The House voted to censure Rep. Chuck Edwards, R-N.C., on a landslide 413 to 2 vote as Congress has grappled with multiple incidents of alleged sexual harassment and misconduct by lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. Only Edwards and Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., voted against the resolution.
