Windfall tax slashed on fuel exports

New Delhi has reduced export duties on petrol, diesel, and aviation fuel. The levy on petrol exports is now ₹1.15 per litre, a significant decrease. Diesel export duty sees a marginal reduction to ₹25 per litre. Aviation turbine fuel exports will now face a ₹19 per litre windfall tax. These revised rates will take effect from September 3, 2026.
