Assam landslide: 3 killed, one injured as heavy rain triggers collapse

An Assam landslide in Guwahati’s Mathgharia area killed three members of a family and injured another after incessant rain triggered the slope collapse. The victims, a couple and their daughter, were sleeping when the incident occurred. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also released Rs 25.12 crore in flood assistance to 16,746 affected families across three districts.
