Mumbai auto-rickshaw and taxi fares increase: New minimums set from September 1

Mumbai auto-rickshaw and taxi minimum fares have been raised by the transport authority. Auto-rickshaw fares increased to twenty-seven rupees and taxi fares to thirty-three rupees. Drivers must recalibrate their electronic meters within three months from now. Revised fares will officially take effect starting September first this year. Over four lakh auto-rickshaws and fifty thousand taxis operate in the region.
