SC seeks Centre's view on banning retail sale of acid, flags failure to enforce 2013 norms

The Supreme Court is seeking the Centre's view on banning retail acid sales. It also directed states to formulate rehabilitation measures for acid attack victims. The court noted that 2013 guidelines for acid sales have become obsolete. It asked the Centre to consider a model scheme for victim assistance. Information on acid attack incidents and pending cases was also requested from states.
