The legacy of the LIFE Posidonia project extends beyond the original 2011–2016 funding period. Its work established better information about the location and condition of Andalusia’s seagrass meadows, introduced practical measures to reduce anchoring damage and created monitoring and management frameworks intended to support conservation over the long term.
