Toyota sales, production fall on sharp declines in China, Middle East

Toyota's global vehicle sales and production experienced a decline in July. Sales fell by 4.8 percent, while production dropped by 2.1 percent. A significant 24.3 percent plunge in China dragged overall sales down. Sales in the United States also slipped, which offset a rise in Japan. Production was pulled down by sharp drops in China and the United States.
