CNN apologizes after mistakenly airing image of Dolly Parton impersonator during report on icon's death

CNN offered a mea culpa after the network mistakenly aired a photo of a Dolly Parton impersonator during its coverage of the death of the American icon.

Parton died Tuesday at age 80 after a brief battle with cancer. Her death sent shock waves around the world, millions paying tribute to the country music legend.

On Tuesday's installment of "Laura Coates Live," a montage of photos appeared onscreen as CNN correspondent Shimon Prokupecz was reporting live from Nashville.
