Manoj Jarange firm on Aug 29 hunger strike over Maratha quota

Manoj Jarange, a Maratha reservation activist, will begin a hunger strike on August 29. He is demanding reservation for the Maratha community under the OBC category. Maharashtra ministers met Jarange and urged him to reconsider his protest plans. The ministers appealed to the activist not to proceed with the planned agitation. Jarange, however, remains steadfast in his resolve for the reservation demand.
