Rain brings relief to Delhi as monsoon intensifies across north India

Rain lashed Delhi early Saturday, offering relief from hot and humid weather conditions. Monsoon showers also affected Haryana's Jhajjar district, with light rain expected until August 24. Heavy rainfall was reported in Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. Continuous rains in Uttarakhand's Garhwal division disrupted normal life and raised river water levels. Himachal Pradesh experienced widespread road and power disruptions due to persistent heavy rainfall.
