Small Urban co-operative banks face risks bigger than their size due to cyber threats: RBI Dy Governor

Urban co-operative banks may be limited in size but face risks far beyond their physical footprint, RBI Deputy Governor Swaminathan J said. He flagged cyber threats, digital fraud and dependence on external service providers as key vulnerabilities, urging stronger safeguards, continuity planning and shared infrastructure to bolster UCBs’ resilience.
