Delimitation: Shivakumar favours Lok Sabha strength at 543 seats, women’s quota within this cap

Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar urged the Southern Zonal Council to retain the 1971 Census for delimitation. He also requested keeping the Lok Sabha strength at 543 for the next twenty-five years. Women's reservation should be accommodated within the existing Lok Sabha strength without delay.
