Former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar dies, Safdarjung Hospital sources say

Former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar died on Thursday, according to hospital sources. He was serving a life sentence for his role in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Kumar was convicted in December 2018 for the killing of five Sikhs. He also faced a life sentence in another case from February 2025. Kumar had been a prominent leader and represented Outer Delhi in Lok Sabha.
