Trump picks Heidi Overton to run Food and ​Drug Administration, Bloomberg News reports

President Donald Trump has chosen Heidi Overton to lead the Food and Drug Administration. Overton currently serves as deputy director of the White House domestic policy council. She previously worked at the America First Policy Institute think tank. Kyle Diamantas has been acting chief since Marty Makary resigned in May. The White House and FDA did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
