US envoy Sergio Gor to visit Kashmir, Ladakh from August 19

US ambassador Sergio Gor will visit Kashmir on August 19 for his first trip. He is scheduled to meet with local leaders and military officials there. Following his Srinagar stay, Gor will then travel to Ladakh. Security measures have been increased across Srinagar for the ambassador's visit. Embassy officials are already in the region to help arrange meetings.
