10 women, 6 minority leaders find place in BJP team; Smriti Irani, Vasundhara Raje, Prof Tariq Mansoor among key names
The BJP appointed ten women and six minority leaders to its new national team. Smriti Irani was named national general secretary, while Vasundhara Raje Scindia became vice-president. The party included representatives from major faiths and twenty-three states and Union territories. Three regional leaders from the North-East received distinct prominence in the new appointments. The team also features four tribal and three Scheduled Caste representatives.
