Centre approved Rs 1,419 cr for Qadian-Beas railway line in Punjab: Ravneet Bittu

The Centre has approved a Rs 1,419 crore estimate for the Qadian-Beas railway line. This project will connect Qadian in Gurdaspur district with Beas in Amritsar. Construction of the 39.68-km broad-gauge corridor is expected to begin soon. The railway line will improve connectivity and economic linkages across the Majha region. Land acquisition is the immediate priority for the Punjab government to avoid delays.
