Girl child welfare: Maharashtra's Lek Laadki scheme process simplified, says minister

The Maharashtra government has simplified the Lek Laadki scheme for eligible girls. Beneficiaries can now apply online and receive financial assistance directly. Applications for eligible girls from April 2023 are accepted until August 2027. New cases require submission within one year of the girl's birth. This initiative aims to empower girls and encourage their education.
