Indonesia's deadliest earthquakes of past decade

A magnitude-7.7 earthquake in eastern Indonesia has killed at least fifty-one people. The Palu earthquake in 2018 caused over four thousand deaths and widespread destruction. A 2022 quake in Cianjur killed 602 people, becoming the deadliest non-tsunami event. Lombok experienced five hundred eighteen fatalities from a magnitude-7.0 earthquake and aftershocks.
