The government has warned Air India to “take responsibility” for safety after the August 4 Phuket-Delhi flight scare and ordered DGCA to tighten aviation personnel’s drug-testing rules. The regulator has been asked to expand mandatory testing and impose tougher penalties for genuine drug violations while allowing more chances in medicine-related positive tests.
