Unemployment rate up at 5.4% on rise in rural joblessness in Q1

Notably, rural areas faced increasing joblessness, with urban unemployment also experiencing a slight uptick. Female unemployment hit 5.7%, while males followed suit. A concerning youth unemployment rate of 15.9% emerged, especially among young women. Chhattisgarh stood out with a troubling 12.8% unemployment rate.
