Supreme Court ends long-pending plea against Hinduja brothers’ relief in Bofors case

The Supreme Court dismissed a plea challenging a 2005 Delhi High Court order. This order had previously quashed criminal proceedings against the Hinduja brothers in the Bofors case. The court declined to adjourn the matter and refused further submissions during the hearing. The original Bofors deal between India and Sweden dates back to 1986. The CBI had alleged illegal payments connected to the howitzer contract.
