Bengaluru: Minister Gowda orders removal of Bescom obstructions on footpaths under 'Freedom from Waste' drive
Prompted by safety concerns, Bengaluru's minister has instructed Bescom to eliminate footpath hazards by August 1. The directive includes the removal of damaged poles and dangling wires that endanger pedestrians. Moreover, transformers infringing on pathways will be shifted to safer locations. Apartment complexes are required to transfer these transformers onto their property. This action is part of the city’s initiative known as 'Freedom from Waste'.
