Curb risk of competition law violations being internalised as cost of doing biz: Parliament panel to CCI
A parliamentary panel recommends vigorous enforcement of penalty guidelines by the Competition Commission of India. These guidelines aim to deter repeated competition law violations by corporate entities. The panel stressed that such violations risk becoming a mere cost of doing business. Regular reviews of the competitive law framework are also suggested by the committee. These reviews should align domestic practices with global best practices for effective regulation.
