Minor league baseball team's fireworks go awry and send fans scrambling for cover in viral video

It's a little late in July for a fireworks mishap — those are typically centered around the Fourth of July weekend festivities — but a minor league baseball team's pyro display went sideways in the most literal way imaginable on Thursday.

The Richmond Flying Squirrels — Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants — were hosting a fireworks display on Thursday night after their 3-1 loss to the Hartford Yard Goats.

I think there's a compelling case for benching pre-planned fireworks if you lose, but that's for another time.
