Dalmia Bharat sees new assets boosting volumes soon; Profit falls 50%

Dalmia Bharat's newly acquired central India assets will contribute meaningfully to volumes starting this fiscal's third quarter. The company acquired cement assets from Adani Group, adding over five million tonnes of capacity. Operations have commenced at Chunar and trial production began at Rewa within fifty days. Consolidated profit halved in the June quarter due to higher costs and an exceptional loss.
