Devotee dies due to suffocation while pulling chariot, Puri Rath Yatra toll mounts to 3

A devotee died from suffocation while pulling Goddess Subhadra's chariot during the Bahuda Yatra festival. The 57-year-old man, Abhiram Das, collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. He had pre-existing hypertension and died during treatment, according to health officials. This incident brings the Rath Yatra death toll in Puri to three people. The Chief Minister announced a compensation of ten lakh rupees for the deceased's family.
