Consumers complain about 17.22 lakh pesky calls, SMS till May this year: MoS Telecom

Telecom subscribers reported over 17 lakh pesky communications this year. Over 31 lakh such communications were reported in the year 2025. More than 21 lakh unregistered telemarketer connections were disconnected since January 2024. Around 24.53 crore consumers registered preferences on the Do Not Disturb platform. AI solutions flagged over 26.4 crore suspected spam calls and messages daily.
