Venezuela's Maduro, US propose June 2027 start for drug trafficking trial
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and US prosecutors proposed a June 2027 trial date. This joint proposal came ahead of a scheduled court hearing in Manhattan. Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores face drug trafficking charges in the United States. They were captured by US Special Forces in Caracas during a January raid. Both have pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.
