First of two Indian nationals jailed for diamond theft from Singapore store

One Indian national received a jail sentence in Singapore for a diamond theft. He and his accomplice planned to steal a valuable diamond from a Chinatown store. The men commissioned a counterfeit diamond in India before traveling to Singapore. They were apprehended at Changi Airport while attempting to depart the country. The genuine diamond was later recovered from one of the accused individuals.
