The Director: Daniel Kehlmann

An elderly resident of the Abendruh Sanatorium, struggling with memory loss, finds themselves unexpectedly riding in a chauffeur-driven black car. Unable to remember why they are there, they focus on small details—the driver's cigarette smoke, his appearance, and a cross hanging from the rearview mirror—in an effort to recover their memory.
