Head of US AI safety agency resigns

Chris Fall has resigned as Director of the US Centre for AI Standards and Innovation. He was appointed to lead the federal AI testing institute just three months ago. A Commerce Department spokesperson confirmed his departure to Reuters news agency. Arvind Raman will temporarily assume Mr. Fall's leadership responsibilities. Mr. Raman currently oversees the AI testing institute at the Commerce Department.
